It is not often that people truly exceed your expectations but Jeff Borg and Team. From an Outcome perspective, we sold our home in 4 days, with multiple offers for a great price. As hard working people with sales backgrounds ourselves, we always wondered “What do Real Estate sales people do to earn those commissions?”. In this case they do “a Lot” and they have a true “System” such that it almost seems like a different profession than Real Estate sales, more like orchestra director or sports coach. We interviewed a number of prospective sales people and pitches were largely similar except Jeff really talked the Borg System, which was way more than just staging (Staging is just part of the deal but his stager was fantastic too). This was by far the best experience we have had in our life when it comes to selling a home. We first met Jeff while we were getting a "feel" for the market. We didn't have an agent at the time, we were just checking out open houses and booking showings. Most of the agents we met along the way, started pressuring us to sign a buyer's agreement with them. We didn't like that. We just wanted to get a "feel" for the market. Then one day, we met Jeff while checking out one of his listings in Old Meadowvale Village. We never once felt pressured by him to buy his listing, or sign a Buyer's Agreement with him. It just felt like we met a great guy that was easy to talk to and connect with. We were impressed with how connected he was to his own family, how he supported and thanked the community of Old Meadowvale, and his support of Credit Valley Hospital. He offered to email us listings with no pressure. As we got more serious about buying a home, but "not quite there yet", we decided to ask Jeff for some help in showing us a few homes. He readily agreed to help. Even though we weren't quite ready, he was willing to work with us and patient all throughout. As we saw more homes with Jeff, it became clear how valuable his experience was. I'm all about numbers and specs, my wife is more about intuition and "energy". He helped both of us see beyond our personal scope of view. Jeff was brutally honest and forthcoming about each property. He wasn't trying to make a sale, he was genuinely trying to help us find the perfect home. There were a lot of "look-fors" and "avoid this" that he noticed and pointed out with the homes and even the neighbourhood that the homes were in. We finally found a home that we really liked. Jeff was a great negotiator with great instincts about the seller and their agent. He was also able to make inferences about another bidder which helped us avoid a bidding war! Keep in mind, he still never asked us to sign anything until we were ready to make an offer! Jeff put in all this work, with no guarantee to get anything out of it! Doesn't completely surprise me, seeing his skill at reading people. He probably could tell that we weren't trying to take advantage of the situation. When it was time to sell our home, Jeff came in and evaluated our home. We came up with a plan and strategy. Jeff had sections of our home professionally painted, our deck stained and our home professionally staged--all included, as part of the commission! No extra/hidden costs. The painter did a fantastic job and Richelle the stager was incredible and super helpful! As we got closer to the listing date, Jeff analyzed the market one more time and realized that we could change our plan a bit to our benefit. He was adaptable and realized we could change our plan for the better. Our home ended up selling for a lot more than the 2018 comparables and faster too. We received a conditional offer the same day of listing, which led to our home being sold. There were other homes that were the same model that listed before us and are still on the market... The Jeff Borg team is a hardworking team that looks out for your best interests. Even with our conditional sold, the team didn't rest on its laurels. Jeff's daughter, Jade, still came out to do an open house for us. Violet did a great job getting our home out on all available listing platforms. When we first started thinking about selling our house, we knew that partnering with the right agent would be crucial to 1) selling the house quickly, 2) getting top dollar, and 3) doing this in a stress free manner. As Jeff Borg was the leading real estate agent in our area, we went to one of his open houses to see why he’s so successful. I see Jeff's name all over the Olde Meadowvale area that his name is unconsciously etched in my brain. This tells me one thing - either he's really good or HE'S REALLY GOOD. So when we decided to look for a new house, the first thing we did was to ensure that we have the best team working for us. Guess what - it's Jeff Borg. Jeff and Violet are the hardest working team we've ever seen. I remember when my family first met Jeff and Violet, My 2-yr old got into a crying rampage when he saw Jeff. Mother's instinct kicked in and Violet started playing with my son. At the end of the night, my son was playing with Violet and still whaling when he sees Jeff's shadow. Jeff worked so hard in finding us a house. He understands what we're looking for and he's very honest with his opinions. He's not simply there to sell you a house. He's taking that journey with your family in finding you the right house. The result is a testament of it. He did not only find us the right house. He got it in the neighborhood we wanted. The layout that worked for my family. Most importantly, he got it within our price point. Talk about having all the of the boxes checked. But then comes the hardest part... selling our house. When we decided to sell our home we met with four real estate agents. However, from the first visit of Jeff and Violet Borg we decided that they were the ones to list our home.
